FERTAN Rust Converter is a high-tech product for corrosion removal that has been proven for more than three decades. Unlike products that only cover rust, FERTAN chemically dissolves the rust layer and decomposes it into a non-reactive powder. At the same time, it forms a new, chemically complex metal compound (black-blue-violet) on the underlying metal, which protects against new rust.

Thanks to its water-based formulation, it is environmentally friendly and, due to its enormous creeping ability, penetrates even under old paint layers, completely eliminating corrosion. The treated metal can remain protected for up to 6 months before the final coat is applied.

Scope of delivery

• 1 × FERTAN Rust Converter (quantity and container type according to selection)

Processing instructions

Roughly remove loose rust. The surface must be free of oil, grease, and silicone. Apply FERTAN with a brush, roller, or spray gun.
Reaction time: 24 hours at 20°C (in dry air, lightly moisten with water mist after 1-2 hours).
IMPORTANT: After the reaction time (when the surface is black-violet), the resulting black dust must be washed off with water before priming/painting!
