FERTAN FERPOX 1-Component Epoxy Primer – Primer & Rust Protection Basalt Grey

High-strength 1-component epoxy primer in basalt grey. Lead and chromate-free, temperature resistant up to 250°C and extremely adhesive.

FERPOX is an easy-to-use 1K epoxy primer that offers the resistance of a 2K primer. It is lead and chromate-free and is characterized by particularly good adhesion to iron, steel, pre-treated aluminum, or hot-dip galvanized metal. Due to its high mechanical strength, it is the ideal primer for all areas exposed to stone chips or corrosion.

In the automotive sector, FERPOX is the first choice for underbodies, wheel arches, splash guards, frames, and battery holders. The material remains permanently temperature-resistant from -40°C to +250°C (color change possible) and forms the perfect base for further paint application.

Application Instructions

The substrate must be dry, free of grease, oil, and silicone. Treat rust beforehand with FERTAN rust converter. Ideal processing at approx. 20°C (min. 10°C).

Please note your selection:
• 400ml Spray: Ready to use. Shake well before use. Apply thinly.
• 800ml / 2 Liters (Liquid): Apply with a brush, roller, or pneumatic gun. Apply only thin layers!
Data for gun: Nozzle 1.5mm | Pressure 2–4 bar | max. 10% nitro thinner.

Drying (20°C): Dust-dry approx. 30 min | Touch-dry approx. 60 min | Recoatable approx. 6 hrs.
