Description

This original Porsche intermediate plate – also known as the protective shell under the steering gear – is a key body element in the front end of classic 911 models. It protects the steering gear from external influences and simultaneously contributes to the structural rigidity of the front axle area.

The design fully conforms to Porsche's factory geometry, thus ensuring a precise fit for all left-hand drive 911 models from 1969 to 1989, including SC, Carrera, and Turbo (LHD). The position can be clearly identified in the exploded view diagram using diagram reference number 12 .
