Heat Exchanger Heat Flap – Painted Steel – Porsche 911 & 912 (1964–1986) – Not G50

Painted steel heater flap box for Porsche 911 and 912 (model years 1964–1986). Not suitable for vehicles with G50 transmission (from 1987 onwards).

  • Heat flap for heat exchanger (control box)
  • Material: Steel (painted black)
  • Suitable for: Porsche 911 & 912 up to model year 1986
  • Transmission: Only for 901 / 915 transmissions
  • Important: NOT suitable for G50 vehicles (1987–1989)

This heater flap, made of robust, painted steel, replaces the often heavily corroded original control boxes on the underbody of the Porsche 911 and 912. It regulates the flow of warm air from the heat exchanger into the interior. Defective flaps often result in the heater being unable to be turned off or no warm air reaching the interior at all.

Important note on fit (G50): This version is designed for vehicles with 901 and 915 transmission types (model years up to 1986). It does not fit Porsche 911 Carrera models from model years 1987 to 1989 with the larger G50 transmission, as the heater pipe routing was changed in these models.

Ideal for a contemporary repair and restoration to restore the heater's functionality.
