Vacuum Pump for Brake Booster – Porsche Boxster/Cayman

This vacuum pump is part of the brake booster system in various Porsche models (Boxster/Cayman, 997, 991, etc.). It generates the vacuum required by the brake booster to provide power assistance to the driver during braking. In many modern Porsche engines (especially with higher power levels, supercharging, or engines where manifold vacuum is insufficient under certain operating conditions), an auxiliary vacuum pump is used because the manifold vacuum alone cannot always provide sufficient or stable vacuum for the brake booster.
