Camshaft adjuster seal. This is a sealing ring for the timing chain tensioner of the Porsche M96/M97 engines (996, early Boxster, Cayman, etc.). It serves to seal the hydraulic timing chain tensioner, which uses engine oil pressure to keep the timing chain taut and correctly tensioned.
