- Ideal for track use and high-speed driving
- Suitable for 915 gearboxes (not compatible with G50)
- Two bearings are required for the engine, and two bearings for the 915 gearbox.
- Diagram reference: No. 8
Description
This sport version of the engine and transmission mounts is stiffer and offers noticeably more stability than the standard rubber mounts. Especially during sporty driving or on the racetrack, the harder mount prevents excessive movement of the engine and transmission, resulting in more direct power transmission and a significantly more precise shift feel.
In classic Porsche 911 models, the original bearings tend to wear out after decades of use, which can lead to vibrations, imprecise shifting, or a vague driving feel. Sport bearings offer a modern, stiffer alternative, particularly suitable for tuned, sportily driven, or high-performance vehicles.
These mounts fit the engine and transmission of the 915 models from 1978 to 1989. Each vehicle requires two mounts on the engine and two more on the transmission. They are not suitable for vehicles with a G50 transmission.
