Screwing a head stud into the engine housing for installation is not only time-consuming, but can also be stressful for the threads and lead to varying stud depths (unless you are extra careful when removing the double nuts). This uniquely designed tool, made of blued, hardened steel, screws onto the head stud but does not clamp to the threads, making installation faster, gentler, and more precise.
