Porsche Original Part. Clutch Slave Cylinder A clutch that is engaged/disengaged via hydraulic fluid instead of a cable uses a clutch master cylinder and a clutch slave cylinder. When the clutch pedal is depressed, a lever is pressed, which pushes hydraulic fluid through hydraulic lines to a "slave cylinder" containing a piston. The piston forces a push rod to engage or disengage the clutch.
