Koch Chemie Hand Wax W0.01 (Carnauba)

Premium wax sealant for a hydrophobic, high-gloss paint surface. Hand Wax W0.01 contains high-quality carnauba wax, which permanently seals and protects the treated surfaces. The sealing components create a smooth surface with very good water repellency. The paint appears significantly more brilliant and high-gloss. Due to the thin application, the product is very economical.

Suitable for painted surfaces and exterior plastic components on cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and similar vehicles.

Application recommendation

1. Vehicle preparation:

   • Thoroughly pre-clean the vehicle with an alkaline cleaner before polishing and sealing, e.g., with Green Star (no sealing shampoos).

   • Pre-treat coarse dirt such as tree sap, rust film, or tar with detailing clay, tar remover, or similar products.

2. Paint preparation:

   • For heavily to moderately weathered paint, machine polish with Heavy Cut (H9.01) or Fine Cut (F6.01).

   • Completely remove residues with a professional microfiber cloth.

   • For lightly weathered paint, machine polish with Micro Cut (M3.02) and a suitable pad to remove holograms.

   • Again, completely remove residues with a professional microfiber cloth.

3. Cleaning before sealing:

   • Wipe all surfaces with a clean professional microfiber cloth soaked in Silicone & Wax Remover, using light pressure.

   • Immediately before drying, wipe with a second, new professional microfiber cloth to remove surfactants, drying aids, and oils from polishes.

   • Note: For sensitive solid or single-layer paints, dilute Silicone & Wax Remover 1:4 with water to avoid dulling.

   • Buff out any remaining streaks with a clean professional microfiber cloth, without pressure.

4. Handling:

   • After preparation, the paint must not be touched with hands (risk of adhesion problems, wear gloves).

5. Application:

   • Press the supplied sponge lightly into the can and spread the wax evenly over the surface.

   • Allow the wax to cure for 10–15 minutes.

   • Then polish with a microfiber cloth.

   • Work in sections (e.g., entire hood, then next component).

6. Care instructions:

   • To maintain the high-gloss wax surface long-term, wash the vehicle carefully by hand.

   • Use plenty of water, soft washing tools, and soft drying cloths.

   • Hard or aggressive washing utensils accelerate wax removal and can scratch the surface.

   • When using car washes, only use textile car washes.
