Koch Chemie Hand Wax W0.01

Premium wax sealant for a hydrophobic, high-gloss paint finish. Hand Wax W0.01 contains high-quality carnauba wax, which seals and protects treated surfaces for the long term. The sealing components create a smooth surface with excellent water repellency. The paint appears noticeably brighter and has a high gloss. The thin application makes the product very economical.

Suitable for painted surfaces and external plastic components on cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and similar vehicles.

Recommended use

1. Vehicle preparation:

   • Before polishing and sealing, thoroughly pre-clean the vehicle with an alkaline cleaner, e.g., Green Star (do not use sealing shampoos).

   • Pre-treat coarse dirt such as tree resin, rust film or tar with cleaning clay, tar wash or similar agents.

2. Paint preparation:

   • Machine-treat heavily to moderately weathered paintwork using Heavy Cut (H9.01) or Fine Cut (F6.01).

   • Completely remove residues with a professional microfiber cloth.

   • To remove holograms from slightly weathered paints, use a Micro Cut (M3.02) and a suitable pad.

   • Remove any residue completely with a professional microfiber cloth.

3. Cleaning before sealing:

   • Wipe all surfaces with a clean professional microfiber cloth soaked in silicone and wax remover, applying little pressure.

   • Immediately before drying, wipe with a second, new professional microfiber cloth to remove surfactants, drying aids and oils from polishes.

   • Note: For sensitive solid or single-layer paints, dilute Silicone & Wax Remover 1:4 with water to avoid matting.

   • Polish any remaining streaks with a clean professional microfiber cloth without applying pressure.

4. Handling:

   • After preparation, the paint must not be touched with hands (risk of adhesion problems, wear gloves).

5. Apply:

   • Gently press the included sponge into the can and spread the wax evenly over the surface.

   • Allow the wax to dry for 10–15 minutes.

   • Then polish with a microfiber cloth.

   • Work in sections (e.g. complete hood, then next component).

6. Care instructions:

   • To maintain the high-gloss wax surface for the long term, wash the vehicle carefully by hand.

   • Use plenty of water, soft washing tools and soft drying cloths.

   • Hard or aggressive washing utensils accelerate wax removal and can scratch the surface.

   • When using car washes, only use textile washing machines.
