This component fulfills a dual function in the heating system of the air-cooled Porsche 911: it securely fastens the upper heater hose in position and simultaneously serves as a guide holder for the heater cable (bowden cable).

Correct fastening (Diagram No. 2) is essential to prevent hoses from slipping off or the heater cable from hanging loose in the engine compartment and potentially touching hot or moving parts.
