This heater flap (also called a heater box or control box) regulates the supply of warm air from the heat exchanger into the interior of your Porsche 911. The Red version indicates the use of modern, highly heat-resistant sealing materials (often silicone) inside the flap.

Compared to standard flaps, which often only have metal-on-metal seals or simple foams, this version seals significantly tighter. This means: no hot air in the interior in summer when the heating is "off", and more efficient heating performance in winter. In addition, the penetration of exhaust fumes is minimized. Ideal as a replacement for rusted or mechanically defective original boxes.
