Koch Chemie Hand Wax W0.01

Premium wax sealant for a hydrophobic, high-gloss paint surface. Hand Wax W0.01 contains premium carnauba wax, which seals and protects the treated surfaces over the long term. The sealing components create a smooth surface with very good hydrophobicity. The paintwork is significantly more brilliant and high-gloss. Hand Wax W0.01 only needs to be applied thinly and is therefore very economical.

Areas of application

Painted surfaces and exterior plastic components on cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles etc.

Application

1. Basic cleaning: Before the polishing and sealing process, thoroughly pre-clean / wash the vehicle with an alkaline cleaner (e.g. with Green Star, no sealant shampoos). Treat coarse contamination such as tree resin, flash rust or tar beforehand with clay bar, tar remover or similar.
2. Heavily to moderately weathered paintwork: depending on condition, work by machine with Heavy Cut (H9.01) or Fine Cut (F6.01) abrasive polish. Remove residues completely with a professional microfibre cloth.
3. Lightly weathered paintwork: remove holograms by machine with Micro Cut (M3.02) using a forced-rotation dual-action polisher (e.g. Makita PO5000C) and Micro Cut Pad. Remove residues completely with a professional microfibre cloth.
4. Degreasing: wipe all surfaces with little pressure using a clean professional microfibre cloth soaked in silicone & wax remover, and wipe over again with another new professional microfibre cloth directly before it dries. For sensitive solid-colour or single-layer paints, dilute the silicone & wax remover 1:4 with water. Re-polish the last streaks without pressure, then do not touch the paintwork with hands or fingers again.
5. Waxing: press the sponge supplied lightly into the tin and spread the wax evenly, working in sections (e.g. the complete front lid, then the next component). Leave to flash off for 10–15 minutes and buff out with a microfibre cloth.

Vehicle washing

• To keep the wax surface for a long time, wash carefully by hand: plenty of water, soft washing tools and only soft drying cloths for drying.
• Hard and aggressive washing utensils remove wax more quickly and scratch the surface.
• If a car wash is used, then only a textile (soft-cloth) car wash.
