This seal is located on the heater blower motor and ensures an airtight connection between the blower unit and the air ducting system. In air-cooled Porsche models, tight air ducting is crucial for the engine-heated air to actually reach the interior and the windshield.

In most classic models, the original foam ring has disintegrated or become porous over the decades. This leads to pressure loss and reduced heating performance, as well as poor defrosting effectiveness. This replacement ring restores the original seal and is an indispensable small part for maintaining or restoring the heating system.
