This outer cable serves as a guide for the actual heater flap cable (wire), which connects the heater levers in the interior with the flaps on the heat exchangers.

Often, stiff heater levers are not due to the wire itself, but to a damaged, rusted, or grease-clogged outer cable. Replacing this guide sleeve is essential to restore the smooth operation of the heater control and enable precise regulation of warm air.
