Description

The shock absorber bump stop limits the compression travel of the suspension strut and protects the damper mechanism from overload, while the dust boot protects the shock absorber piston from contamination, thereby significantly extending the lifespan of the dampers.

As vehicles age, bump stops harden or crumble, and dust boots tear or lose their sealing effectiveness. Replacing these components ensures optimal damper function, prevents consequential damage, and significantly contributes to ride comfort.

The components are marked in the parts diagram under Diagram No. 5 and No. 6.
