Description

The shock absorber bump stop limits the compression travel of the strut and protects the damper mechanism from overload, while the dust cover protects the shock absorber piston from contamination, thus significantly extending the service life of the dampers.

As vehicles age, bump stops harden or crumble, and dust boots tear or lose their sealing properties. Replacing these components ensures optimal damping function, prevents consequential damage, and significantly contributes to a smooth ride.

The components are marked in the parts diagram under diagram no. 5 and no. 6 .
