Description

The wheel nut M22 × 1.5 is used for secure fastening of the wheel hub to the axle shaft and is a safety-critical wear part. It is used on the front or rear axle depending on the model. Due to the high stress – especially with sporty driving or high-performance models – the wheel nut is generally used as a single-use item and should be replaced during wheel bearing or axle work.

The design ensures stable pre-tensioning of the hub connection and contributes to precise, vibration-free running of the wheel system. The component position is shown in the parts diagram under Diagram No. 2.
